Approach the Palace of Cutting-edge Italian Design with Tim Yip
Grand Opening of "Timeless Time" Italian design event at Three on the Bund on 9 September

  The Italian design exhibition "Timeless Time" will kick off on September 9, at Three on the Bund, a landmark of Shanghai high-end fashion showcasing 99 pieces of Italian contemporary furniture and lighting design. The selected pieces from Italy taking to Shanghai are superb, full of passion, innovation, and imagination. They certainly will strike so many of you in Shanghai who are fond of arts and designs with the very thing that Italy is proud of - contemporary design.

  During the period of the Shanghai World Expo, the Italian design exhibition "Timeless Time" will be inaugurated for the first time in Shanghai. In addition to the Italian Pavilion, this show provides another Italian-style experience to the people from Shanghai and from China and from the world over. The exhibition is organized jointly by FederelegnoArredo - the Italian furniture association, and the Italian Trade Commission - ICE, and supported by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development.

  In order to reveal the essence of Italian design, at the same time, to show the artistic expression of the exhibition and the overall visual communication, the organizer has invited a famous Chinese artist Tim Yip coordinated by the Italian creator and producer Change Performing Arts that arrays the featured objects in an imaginative Chinese landscape which bridges East and West, and reveals the true spirit of Italian design. This is the strongest message to be given to the Chinese public.
 
  By that time, Tim Yip will bring the Chinese public to the unique journey they will experience visiting the exhibition, the landscape and the 9 valleys: "There will be mountain against mountain, water against mist, nestled among the trees and rice terraces. It will be as though you find yourself in an authentic Chinese brush painting." He has based on 9 original concepts, combined with 9 groups of exhibits, with highlights of China's unique culture and customs. It is a breakthrough in overcoming the limits of traditional exhibition space. It bridges East and West, and it reveals to the visitors the form and spirit in Italian design.

  The display of 99 pieces of Italian contemporary design covers different types of products: furniture, lightings and other products of living. They are all from the world class Italian design brands, that are the product of the collaboration with all the most important designers and architects in the world. Many pieces are on show in Shanghai for the first time and it certainly will give a pleasant surprise to the Shanghai public.

  As uncanny natural landscape is the result of wind, rain, sun and moon for billions of years, the pursuit of materials, forms, innovation and creativity in Italian design are symbolized by endless pursuit of eternal beauty. Therefore, see you there at this grand Italian design event:
